some prompted writing time and then disperse to write, relax, read, bike more.

Jump-start Your Writing! A skydiving/writing day-long adventure:
"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go" T.S. Eliot
Sept. 5th, Sat., 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. (overnight stay is optional)
You think you have nothing to write about? Join Katie at Skydive New England (75 mins. from Boston) in Lebanon, Maine, jump out of a plane from 14000 ft., and then see what you have to say! Think the experience is ineffable? Katie will help you find the words to describe it with prompted writing exercises and instruction before and after the jump. Essays, poetry, journaling... all good; fiction won't be necessary-you won't need to make shit up to tell a good story after this experience. After the writing and jumping ends the adventure is not over. SNE will be hosting their annual Tiki Bar Boogie: expert jumpers diving all day in formation, freefly, pond swooping; live music, fireworks, BBQ, all-night bonfire (tiki bar burn)! Writing workshops and one tandem jump are included for $239. ($119 to jump and hang if writing is just too scary for you!) Skydive New England encourages camping for $5 (clean bathrooms and hot showers provided) and guest rooms as well as food at the RipCord Cafe are also available. Pricing is based on a 10 person minimum, so talk a friend into coming too. Contact Katie to register, katie@threestoriescom.com
